Good Use Of Space Under The Bed
East To West did make good use of the space under the bed in the Alta 2600KRB. There youll find a cabinet that features a recessed well on the top and two drawers underneath. Theres also an open space next to the drawers which could be a pet kennel, just storage or whatever.
East To West put both USB and 120-volt plugs on the sides of the cabinet. When you plug something in there, the plug will also intrude on the bed space.
What Im trying to tell you here is to just get a queen-sized bed in this thing already. There seem to be far too many compromises with the king. Sort of like medieval peasants had in England. The king was a pain in the neck.
Rv Review: East To West Alta 1900mmk Counterpalooza
Todays review is of the East To West Alta 1900MMK, a smaller travel trailer with really terrific use of space. In fact weve seen this floor plan used before in the Grand Design Imagine 17MKE travel trailer.
My wife and I looked at the Grand Design very, very seriously. The principal thing about that model was the incredibly long counter space relative to the overall length of the trailer. In fact, theres no way not to be surprised the first time you see this much counter space in a trailer of this size.

There Are Some Really Nice Touches In The Entrada
I had mentioned that this was more biased to being entry-level, but that doesnt mean there arent some really nice touches including those drawers.
Class C motorhomes have a signature bunk over the cab of the truck and this one is no exception. However, this bunk area seems particularly large and spacious. There is a removable section with matching cushion here that opens up the cab more, or drops into place at night so this can become a bed.
On the camp side of the space is a TV on a swivel arm. Id like to be able to pivot that but that wasnt an option on the early production model I saw. Below the TV are cup holders and cubbies for stuff its a good use of the space. The overall space seems rather large and I believe an adult can sit up in here, but thats just an assumption.
The galley, on the camp side, consists of a solid surface countertop into which is dropped a round stainless steel sink. I like the commercial-style faucet theyre using with the exposed spring. Theres also a three-burner cooktop, but there was not an oven in the example I saw. However, East To West did outfit this with a larger convection microwave so you could still get your cookies baked.
Since there was no oven, the cabinet below the stovetop featured a nifty drop-down door that was oven-sized, so you could use that for storage. Below that was another drawer and then a cabinet under the sink that could easily hold a kitchen garbage can.

Rv Review: East To West Entrada 2200s Class C Motorhome Reveal
This is the time of year when new products start popping up. Sometimes I get notified by the manufacturers, sometimes someone at a dealership clues me in. Sometimes its you you all are a great resource for this!
In this case I found out about East To West getting into the motorhome business, specifically with their Class C Entrada 2200s. My first stop in any of these reviews is at the manufacturers website where there is literally nothing more than a hero graphic about this line. No specs, no photographs, nothing.
Usually that would mean Id be back when the company felt like actually going outside with a camera and tape measure and finishing their job of telling the story of the thing theyre making. But I jumped the gun here only because Ive really liked what the brand is doing with their travel trailers. In fact, you may have read where I favored an East To West trailer over the identical Grand Design model recently.
Now Im curious, darn it. So here is the information I have on this motorhome. While I thought East To West was sort of gunning for Grand Design with their travel trailers, this motorhome seems more directed at things like something you might see on the Cruise America rental lot. Not that thats a bad thing, but its an analogy that works.

Interior Arrangement In The East To West Alta Feels Huge
On the camp-side slide are your stove, oven and microwave. Adjacent to that is an electric fireplace and, above that, a huge counter space. In fact, counter space is not in short supply by any stretch of the imagination.
But push a button and a large Furrion TV comes rising up from the counter space above the fireplace which is directly opposite that optional theater seating. Above the TV is a Furrion soundbar to make things sound great.
I like this interior arrangement it feels huge and is well-configured for work or entertaining. Part of that is also the center island with a huge stainless steel sink that has a cover. So if you want a nice spread of hors doeuvres you can put them here, or on that counter in the camp-side slide where the TV comes out.

Rv Review: East To West Alta 2600krb Travel Trailer
Todays review is of the East to West Alta 2600KRB, a travel trailer that is a really popular floor plan. In fact, I have shared the same description of the floor plan that so, so many fifth wheel manufacturers use. This is almost the travel trailer equivalent of that same idea.
If youre a company that makes this floor plan, how do you differentiate your product? If a prospect comes into the dealership, what factors are you using to differentiate yourself from the others?
Those are the questions I was asking myself when seeing the East To West Alta 2600KRB, which is a couples larger camper that features a bathroom at the rear of the trailer and a bedroom in the front. In between those two is an L-shaped kitchen across from a dinette, and theater seats across from the TV.

I Do Really Like The East To West Entrada For A Number Of Reasons
However, I do really like the East To West Entrada for a combination of value, floor plan design and the materials used in the construction, along with the thinking that went into the overall build. I have also liked East To Wests products and, as mentioned in the article I referenced above, often like them better than that of the competition.
That would be the case here, too, when looking at other Class C motorhomes in this price range. East To West has done a good job in their product offerings and, to be fair, this is a really early look at these. But those shopping for a Class C that offers a lot of value in a smaller size would do well to look at this model.
Usually I try to get as many images from around the web as possible on an RV to include here, but there is just nothing for the Entrada at this writing.

Whats Inside The East To West Entrada
The interior of these is rather pleasant and, given the overall size, also spacious. The first thing youll see is a four-person dinette with the Dream Dinette table that doesnt have knee bashing legs instead, its hung right on the wall. It does fold down to make this into a sleeping surface. The cushions on the model I saw were reversible all a chocolate brown on one side and a cream and brown on the other.
Some RV manufacturers provide space under their dinettes and the access to that is simply a cabinet door. That means whatever ends up all the way at the back becomes a yoga challenge for the most agile person on the journey. Instead, East To West put long drawers under either side of the dinette which I much prefer.
Best Folding Couch I Have Seen
This also has literally the best folding couch I have seen. This is a trifold arrangement where you simply pull out the bottom cushion and the rest of the couch folds with it. You dont have to fiddle with the folding legs in the process of doing so. Neat.
Other details that show that the company is paying attention include the very usable kitchen featuring a large convection microwave and a large stove with a real oven. I like that the countertop extends past the stove. While nobody ever complained about too much storage and cabinet space in any RV, ever, open space isnt a bad thing either.
Plus, there is a good amount of storage in here, so prioritizing counter space sets East To West apart in this model.

Boondocking And Travel Access
The bathroom in this trailer is accessible with the slide in, as is much of the main living space. But, if you want to get to the bedroom with the slide room in, as they say in those gangster movies, fuggedaboudit. There will be no accessing the bedroom with the slide in.
There is a standard 50-watt solar panel with an additional panel available as part of the West Coast Power Package option. This also includes a 30-amp charge controller and a second battery.
More Highlights In The East To West Alta
Other highlights include the fact that there are no floor registers and no carpet in the slide room. Im also pretty enamored with all the window coverage in this unit.
Further, I like that the shower is pretty large. It features a shower door thats sort of a roller door with a wiper seal on it. Ive already shared my concerns with glass shower doors. The ceiling height in this rig is also taller, which makes the unit feel much larger.
While thinking of the shower, East To West actually plumbed the holding tanks such that there is but one dump point. You see, RV companies. This can be done and East To West did it. Id give them an award if I had any to give.
I have to admit I am no fan of the solid steps that are so prevalent in modern travel trailers. But, to their credit, East To West puts a tool box under those steps so you can store things like wheel chocks and that sort of thing that youd use in setting up the trailer. This is a brilliant use of space.

The Bed And Bathroom In The East To West Entrada
Further toward the back on the road side of the Entrada is a nice pantry or closet that incorporates adjustable shelves and drawers beneath that. There is a slide room in this motorhome and thats where youll find the bed. It incorporates a folding mattress to accommodate the slide when its in.
Under the bed youll find some space for shoes and a bit of storage. There is a bed-side drawer toward the right of the bed but not one on the left when looking at the bed from the foot. The bed faces east-to-west.
Opposite the bed in the East To West Entrada is a bathroom with a really decent-sized shower, especially in a coach of this size. That shower features a Nautilus shower door which is a plastic membrane-type arrangement on a roller shade with a wiper seal. I like these, but not everybody shares my opinion of these.
The porcelain foot flush toilet is the only other thing in here. The bathroom sink is outside the bathroom between the 12-volt Magic Chef refrigerator and the bathroom wall. The toilet is a bit close to that wall, so some larger campers might have challenges completing the job they came to do.

Todays review is of the East To West Ahara 365RL fifth wheel, a larger version of the 325RL that we looked at toward the beginning of the year.
I read a lot of comments on various forums where people bemoan Forest River and Thor. As Ive written before, while these are large manufacturers of RVs, the sub-brands are not all the same. Thor makes everything from Tiffin and Airstream to brands like KZ. Forest River similarly makes everything from Rockwood/Flagstaff to brands like Cherokee.
One of the commonalities of these larger companies is that they strongly encourage the sub-brands to compete with one another. While all RV companies have a limited number of major suppliers to buy parts from, they can specify grades of parts and develop their own processes for building the RVs themselves.

Differences In The Alta 2600krb
One of the things that sets this trailer apart starts in a place thats particularly appealing for taller travelers. The ceiling height in this model is 69, about three inches more than is typical in a laminated travel trailer.
This also translates into a roomier shower, thanks to the additional height. And that shower is pretty large, as is the whole bathroom, which spans the entire width of the trailer. Ive seen this layout in the Heartland North Trail 25RBP, for example. As someone who basically doesnt watch TV, I loved the desk/dining setup in that trailer. But back in the bathroom they had the silly two sink setup, which wasnt usable as such. The Alta 2600KRB has a single sink bowl and then counterspace. See, thats how its done, son.
On the subject of larger spaces, this trailer is available with a king-sized bed that measures 70 X 80. As you might expect, the bed takes up much of the space in the bedroom, though there are drawers on either side of the bed. There are also hanging closets that extend a bit over the bed. I can see this being a prime headache maker. It seems an odd design.
A Fresh Approach To Trailer Adventures
We had the opportunity to visit Al and Stacey Robinson at Great Canadian RV near Peterborough, Ontario, to check out one of the newest brands to brighten the Canadian RV scene the Alta travel trailer from East to West RV, a division of Forest River Inc.
East to West RV was born just a few years ago from an inspiration to advance RV design and technology, and the company became a Forest River Inc.division in 2018. East to West RV draws from generations of RV expertise embodied in every model under the Forest River Inc. umbrella. Forest River Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company, is the second largest RV manufacturing conglomerate in the world so its not like you are looking at a fledgling RV manufacturer the people at East to West RV are experienced professionals, and their products are on the leading edge of the industry.
When we discussed the selection of one model from the extensive 2021 line, Al suggested that we focus on a mid-size unit, that would be easily towed by a wide range of family vehicles. When we looked at the list of available tow vehicles and saw that Als wife Stacey had a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, we knew that we had found an intriguing combination that would be a natural highlight for this issue.
Construction
The trailer has 50 Amp service with 15,000 BTU rooftop A/C and an optional second 13,500 BTU rooftop A/C can be installed. Heat is ducted through the walls, while the A/C is ducted through the ceiling.
